It’s been a while

Louise and I having our wedding blessed with Fr. Charlie.

Louise and I just celebrated our 50th anniversary a couple weeks ago. Time flies when your having fun and I have to say I’ve had my share of fun. As corny as it probably sounds I love her more today than I did 50 years ago. I always feel like I won the lottery in my love life

I haven’t posted all summer and I am feeling the need to get back at it.

Needless to say it has been hot in Phoenix this summer. Nothing new there but everyone always likes to talk about the weather. I’ve been getting out some to take photos but not as much. In order to go someplace cool it takes a couple hours in my truck and it just hasn’t happened as often as past years.

My sister Roberta and family moved to Prescott this summer and that has been my main destination. It is a really fun to be able to visit and lots of good restuarants and the temptation to eat too much is always there. Like all Americans I fight too many calories and don’t get enought excercise but I keep trying as this body of mine has to last a few more years.

So getting back to photograhy I took a day with my friend Fr. Charlie and we shot some flowers on a light box. What you do is cut the flowers up and place them on the Light Box so they become translucent. Then with some work in Photoshop you create your vision. It is fun and gives us something to do when it is 110˚ out.

I’ve also taken some off road trips exploring the Bradshaw Mountains. It is different and pretty in its own way but it would be hard to live there as the grocerie store is a long way away. Here I go thinking about food again.

I’ll leave you with a beautiful Arizona sunset.

Good hearing from you once again. CONGRATULATIONS to you & Louise on your wedding anniversary!!!

Yes, it’s been a long, long, hot summer. Too long! I haven’t been out much photographing at all. Our puppy, Dakota, will be 9 months old Sept. 26th. Life gets better every day. She’s 2 1/2 hands full.

That’s what I/we’ve been doing all summer. Not much time at all to do any photography. I love your flowers. Very nice!

Dakota must be a handful. Fall colors will be here soon. Maybe we will run into each other sometime soon. I’m going to the North Rim in a few weeks and should get some good foliage.
